FOR THOSE WHO DIDN'T ATTEND THE INFO MEETING: Our information packet and information sheet are available for download at http://sitrus.syr.edu (click on "Info Pack" in the left pane). Please review the info pack in its entirety; it contains our policies and schedule for the year. Print out the information sheet, fill it out, and bring it with you to rehearsal on Sunday if you haven't turned it in to me. Without turning in the information sheet, you cannot begin earning points.
INSTRUMENT RENTALS: As mentioned at the info meeting, SU bands has tenor saxes, mellophones, baritones, and tubas available for rent. The rental fee is $50 for tenor saxes and $20 for the brass instruments. If you are in marching band, you must pay an additional rental fee for Sitrus. Also, be aware that tenor saxes must provide their own mouthpieces, and brass players should use their own mouthpieces if possible. Rentals DO NOT include any accessories, including reeds, neck straps, lyres, valve oil, etc. Please arrive to the Dome at 6:30 on Sunday so your rental can be taken care of ASAP. Specific questions regarding rentals can be directed to University Bands GA Andrea Rommel at amrommel@syr.edu.
MIDNIGHT MADNESS: This will be on Fri. 10/16 around 7 p.m. We will be learning details from athletics tomorrow, but let me know if you are interested in playing at this. This will be open to a limited number of returning members only, and no extra points will be awarded.
MAKE-A-WISH: This will be on SUNDAY, 10/18 (in a correction to my previous e-mail) at 10 a.m. This is open to a limited number of returning members, and one extra point will be awarded for participation.
